BFC Story: Letter from your Director

Brighter Future Cares started out as a concept back when I was in High School and I knew that I wanted to give back to the community in anyway possible. I took a trip to Mexicali and helped the Rotary Club build playgrounds for underserved communities and poverty stricken schools. By my Senior year in high school I knew I wanted to keep on that path of building up low income communities and helping people in general. I decided to pursue the Medical field and went to school and became a Certified Nurse Assistant and loved helping our geriatric population. It wasn't until I took a position at the American Red Cross as the Youth Services Coordinator for Silicon Valley that my love for education and youth flourished. I decided to switch from the Medical Field to get my degree to become a teacher. Soon after,  I was blessed to become a mother to my first born, my little girl, Jordyn.   Jordyn flourished and was such a joy and very smart and the light of my life, until one day she never woke up. She was called home and that began the big question of what to do with myself and how would I continue, what purpose did I have to continue. I already had been given the opportunity to work with the Washoe County School District and Children's Cabinet to help at-risk youth and their families to make it through their schooling and it birthed an even bigger concept in my mind. I wanted to contribute to youth education and each child I worked with pacified my hunger to do more.   How could I help more kids who are underserved or low income or who feel as though "school wasn't for them"? How could I support families who were already struggling with keeping food in their refrigerators to afford quality education and education support for their "tiered" or "at-risk" children?   That is when Brighter Future Cares was born and in 2020 my concept turned into a reality. I have worked very hard to bring as many resources and award winning curriculum to every family that needs and wants it.   Brighter Future Cares is more than just another preschool or childcare or tutoring service. We strive to make sure that your family has that "shoulder" of support and dynamic services that will help lead to convenience and opens the doors to a plethora of opportunities.   I do not see myself just as a founder or a director. I see myself as a support system and extended family that is here to help make life just slightly easier because life has ways of deterring you from your path and that helping hand can go a long way. If you are just visiting, I welcome you and ask you spread the word of Brighter Future Cares, because your child, and any child for that matter, deserves a brighter pathway to a successful future and we, at Brighter Future Cares, definitely care about their achievement and overall success. Explore. Inquire. Ask. We are here and with your support and acknowledgment, will be here for the foreseeable future. Let's get your child's journey started and I look forward to welcoming you to Our Family. -Janeya Hines
